MDTC STUDENTS COMPETE IN REGIONAL CONTESTS

Mid-Del Technology Center SkillsUSA students recently competed in individual contests throughout the state of Oklahoma.

In Leadership events, the two Opening/Closing teams won second and third place.  Team members placing .........

third consisted of Sage Owens, Jacob Parker, Mike Ridley, Amanda Daniels, Brian Hill, Tess Elliott, and Megan Cox.  Team members winning second place were Devin Wynn, Stormy Behringer, Mackenzie Hardy, Ashley Grantham, Kari Boso, Allison Vandyke, and Natalie Dommert.  Kenneth Peters won first place in Job Skills Demonstration.

In the Mechanical Drafting competition, Miles Garcia placed first and David Meyers placed third.  In Architectural Drafting, Dylan Sherman placed first.  In the Carpentry competition, Philip Pope placed fourth in the written test.  In the Masonry secondary competition, Corey Smith placed first and Darius Crutchfield placed third.  In the Masonry post secondary competition, Jeremy Hill placed third.

In the Service Careers contest, Jesse Grant placed second in Tool Identification.  In the Carpet Maintenance contest, Jalisa Boyland placed fourth and Chad Ramsey and Ashlee States received sixth place.  In the Cosmetology competition, Megan Cox won second place.  In the Auto Service Technology division Joshua Stevens won second place.

FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) students also competed in Regional Contests held at Metro Technology Center.  Stephanie Wilbanks placed first in Job Interview and Casey Dornak won second place in Illustrated Talk.
